This cute little bear safely gives children extra height needed for brushing teeth, washing hands or helping out in the kitchen. Our full-size pattern includes a complete traceable alphabet to personalize this fun, easy project. (15" wide x 14" tall)
Dimensions: 15" wide x 14" tall
Wood:
one 1X8 x 48" long board (select #1 grade oak hardwood knot free). If you don't mind the look of knots in your project use a lower cost #2 grade of lumber
24" x 24" x 3/4" thick piece of plywood (good two sides, MDO or MDF board)
Hardware: required for assembly
screws-twelve #6 x 1 1/4" long, flat head
Tools:
hand held sabre saw with a smooth cutting non-chipping, scrolling blade, table saw or circular saw
screwdriver
electric drill
5/64", 5/32" and 1/4" dia. and countersink drill bits
router with 3/8" round over bit
wood files or a bench top belt sander with medium grit belt for rounding step edges
Supplies:
transfer paper, pencil & clear tape
sandpaper-medium & fine grits
wood filler-non shrinking, fast drying for wood flaws
paint brush-3/4" and 1/4" wide brushes
wood glue-exterior or interior
